Moose Blood – I Don’t Think I Can Do This Anymore Review

Moose Blood – I Don’t Think I Can Do This Anymore

Released: 8/3/18 | Hopeless Records

Moose Blood return with the follow up to 2016’s Blush, I Don’t Think I Can Do This Anymore. Have they managed to keep up with this new wave of emo bands with a new album?

One thing that can be said about this album is that it does flow quite well, however it doesn’t exactly capture my attention either. Track after track this album didn’t exactly feel quite new , the band have definitely taken a page out of their last studio album Blush and it really just felt like this was like Blush 2.0.

There are a few stand out tracks on this thing, the lead single for the record Talk In Your Sleep contains one of the catchiest choruses on this record I reckon this will be one of the singalong tracks live. Such A Shame features a strong vocal Eddy Brewerton especially during the chorus sections which I personally feel makes the track. The record really closes on a high It’s Too Much is one of the most different tracks on this thing and sounds like they are taking a step out of their comfort zone, it sounds a lot more dark then sad.

Overall I have to say that this time around I excepted more from this record I was hoping to see another transition of sound just like they did from their first record to their second. The instrumentals on this record just wasn’t up to scratch but they did a good job complimenting the vocals with it. If you really liked Moose Blood’s previous record you then this record may be for you.
