Vein – Errorzone
Released: 22/6/2018 | Closed Casket Activities
Vein have been one of the most hyped bands in hardcore this year, touring and being praised from the likes of Code Orange they have now dropped their highly anticipated debut record and it is as crazy as you think.
This album is straight up relentless, Vein make no sacrifices on this record they have pulled out all the stops to make 28 minutes worth of noise that is so heavy and violent, Errorzone front to back contain songs that are worth throwing punches to. The album is quite captivating from the start with the track virus://vibrance with the breakbeat intro it just packs a lot of punches and from there Vein make no sacrifices on this record they have pulled out all the stops to make 28 minutes worth of noise that is so heavy and violent, Errorzone front to back contain songs that are worth throwing punches to.
Vein really try to blend a lot of styles on this thing but one thing that stuck out was the whole the math rock influence and that’s just one of many styles on the record, with things like nu-metal even making appearances. It’s safe to say with their all the difference influences and odd structuring of songs they come out on top.
The title track Errorzone really makes you take another look at this band because it’s probably the most bold and bravest track on this record it’s so different to the rest of the record it makes you question if your listen to the same band, and puts a spotlight on this band showing that they aren’t just a one trick pony and how they aren’t afraid to experiment.
If you thought Code Orange were changing the game last year for hardcore well you should really be paying attention to Vein and this record as Vein have only set the bar higher for the world of hardcore.
